I MADE THIS MECHANISED LIGHT AS A REFLECTION ON THE NOTION OF E=MC2... IN THEORY LIGHT HAS WEIGHT. IN THEORY IT COULD THEREFORE POWER A SHISHI ODOSHI. BUT YEAH FINE, IT WOULD NEED TO BE THE SIZE OF A FEW SUNS... MADE FROM ANODISED ALUMINIUM, SAND-BLASTED ALUMINIUM, ACRYLIC, AND TECH BITS.

MY CLIENT WAS HAVING A 60TH BIRTHDAY. "NO GOLD, NO BALLOONS, NO KITSCH STUFF." HER INVITATION HAD BLUE AND GREEN GEOMETRIC PATTERNS.
I WENT FROM THERE TO CREATE SIX PIECES: A HANGING PIECE TO SIGNIFY THE PARTY DESTINATION, A HALLWAY PIECE UPON ENTRY, A TABLE PIECE, A FLOOR PIECE, A GARDEN PIECE, A FEATURE HANGING PIECE (PICTURED, AS HANGING IN MY SHED)
